BHS Science Department

The Beaumont High School Science department is committed to serving and supporting all BHS students.  With California’s recent adoption of the Next Generation Science Standards our course offerings and the design and structure of current courses are changing.  All courses will now place more emphasis on the practice of science and engineering, the interconnected nature of the sciences and the disciplinary core ideas outlined in the new standards.

We currently offer courses in Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Forensic Science, and Engineering Technology.  We have AP courses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

California recently adopted a new Science Framework and our curriculum is currently being modified. BUSD has chosen to model our high school programs after one of the State’s recommendations in which Earth and Space Science standards are integrated into
Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Course names and pathways will be changing slightly for the 2018-19 school year.
